Our Team
How did we get here?
Chiara and I started in the corporate world working for many years in large multinational companies. We worked in Retail, Manufacturing, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, Professional Services, and Charity sectors. This gives us a broad business and commercial experience to share along with our accounting and tax expertise. We are qualified as Chartered Management Accountants (CIMA), which is an accountancy qualification that focuses on supporting business leaders.

We wanted flexibility for family and a better work-life balance so we formed our company in 2018. We provide accountancy services to small and medium businesses. We also provide consultancy services to growing businesses and corporate clients.
We have learned a lot about starting and running a small new business. You have to manage the admin, the banking, the IT, the HR, the Marketing, the Sales, contracts and software and so much more. As a small business owner, you also need to know when to ask for help so you can focus on what you do best..

We have gained some fantastic clients around Manchester and across the UK. We work flexibly and mostly online but it is nice to meet up for a coffee with clients around the Sale M33 area. Our accountancy practice has grown nicely without us having to work every hour and we want to keep it small and manageable so we can focus on our clients without having to delegate everything. We are happy to be building a successful small business together. We were joined in 2022 by a new colleague, Nicki. Nicki completed her Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualification in 2024.

Co-Founder and Director
Chiara leads the accountancy practice and has become an expert in all things related to small business finances. She enjoys working with small business owners.

Chiara is an experienced commercial finance manager and worked for several years at Kellogg. She broadened her experience at DWF in the legal services sector and at Turning Point in the not-for-profit sector. Chiara has also worked as a Trust member for a local Manchester heritage project, Victoria Baths.

​
This experience has given Chiara great insights into how to support business teams. She understands how to improve company performance, profitability and cash flow.

Chiara is a registered CIMA member in practice, a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and is certified for Xero and FreeAgent. Chiara is qualified as a registered Tax Technician with ATT bringing more specialised tax knowledge to the practice.
Nichola Spencer
BA (Hons), ACCA
Financial Accountant
Dan works in the accountancy practice and focuses on the financial consulting side of our business. He supports corporate clients with FP&A consulting on an interim or project basis.

Dan is an experienced finance leader who has over 20 years' experience in various sectors. These include retail, fast-moving consumer goods, professional services, and manufacturing.
​
​
Dan has expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A). FP&A includes budgeting, cash flow management, commercial analysis and financial modelling. Dan is also very keen on IT, systems and automation and is an expert in Excel and Power BI (Microsoft Certified).

​
Dan is a registered CIMA member in practice, a CIMA Fellow, and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
Nicki joined us in July 2022 to support our growing practice and is an integral member of the team. Nicki is an experienced accountant who has recently qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant with ACCA.
